Dual registration for specialist events hauliers

LIVE Touring Group received confirmation from the Department for Transport that the legislation underpinning the permanent Dual Registration measure and vehicle excise duty (VED) exemption came into force Wednesday 20th July at 00.00.

The DfT have published guidance on GOV.UK here, which sets out how specialist event hauliers can utilise the measure.

 LIVE is pleased that the campaign to get a permanent change in law has had a positive outcome. However, we have stressed to government that this is only a partial fix that may not be applicable and/or accessible by all. We will continue to fight for those operators unable to set up EU bases and those who operate own account vehicles. We will also continue to work with government and colleagues in Europe to find solutions to a myriad of other Brexit related issues affecting our industry as we navigate our new relationship with the EU.
